Dr. Larry Marks
Larry has over 20 years of experience assisting individuals and groups to improve their well-being and achieve their personal goals. His therapeutic approach is grounded in an affirming, multi-culturally sensitive, humanistic, interpersonal, and developmental framework. Larry is a respected expert in the area of positive psychology which focuses on strengths, positive emotions, and other factors that contribute to thriving and success in life. He is a sought after speaker and trainer for professional organizations, colleges and universities, and community groups. In addition to the counseling, coaching, and speaking/training services that he conducts, he has extensive experience with research and evaluation as well as program development. His research and scholarly work have resulted in numerous journal publications and professional presentations on a variety of college student mental health issues and applications of positive psychology. Larry co-edited Positive Psychology on the College Campus and wrote a chapter in this book on life coaching with students. He also is regularly contacted and quoted by media outlets for interviews related to college student mental health and well-being. Larry is married and has a 11 year old daughter.
